Betty J. Rohwedder

Betty J. Rohwedder, 87, of Olin, Iowa passed away on August 13, 2017 at the Clarence Nursing Home.

Her Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service. Burial will be held at the Olin Cemetery following the service.

Betty Jane Frank was born on December 14, 1929 to Walter John and Florence Ashinger (Kersten) Frank in Saukville, Wisconsin. She attended Olin Consolidated School. She married Harold Rohwedder on July 18, 1948 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Betty was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a choir director for many years and was a confirmation and Sunday School teacher. She worked as a secretary, book keeper, and homemaker. She led bible study for many years, and enjoyed quilting and baking.

She tended a large garden and fruit trees. She enjoyed flowers, and was an avid golfer, bowler, and a very good bridge player.   

Those left to cherish her memories are her Husband Harold, children; Kevin (Alyce) Rohwedder of Olin, Keith (Sandy) Rohwedder of Mechanicsville, grandchildren; Nicolas, Jessica, Devin, Alexandra, great-grandchildren; Jace, Dakota, and Summer. Sister Linda (Jack) of Olin, and brother Walter (Jeanne) Frank of Aitkin, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald, and sisters Grace and Annette.
