Esther G. Dosland

Esther Dosland, 100, of Lost Nation passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 -10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the Lost Nation Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Lahey & Dawson Funeral Service, Lost Nation.

Esther was born on November 26, 1917 to Edward and Mary (Widemann) Huebbe in Clinton County. She attended Calamus Schools and graduated in 1936. She married Raymond Lewis Dosland on June 15, 1938 in Clinton County.  

Esther was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. She spent much of her time in her kitchen and was an excellent baker and always had goodies for whomever would stop to visit.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two children, Clay Dosland of Wyoming, Marty (Donna) Dosland of Lost Nation, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, daughter-in-law Sherry, sister Anna and a brother Duane.
