Margaret Beidler

Margaret Beidler, of Maquoketa passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, Iowa surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.

Margaret Ann Hammerand was born on October 30, 1933 to John and Hilda (Gienapp) Hammerand. She was a graduate of Maquoketa High School. She married Edward W. Beidler on August 16, 1956 in Moline, Illinois.

Margaret worked at Jackson State Bank, and Maquoketa State Bank. She was a homemaker and helped own and operate Beidlers’ Implement “John Deere store” in Maquoketa, she enjoyed her customers.  

She loved gardening and flowers. She also liked helping out on the farm and fishing.  She enjoyed cooking and baking with her grandsons and they were her greatest joy.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Edward L. “Kleater” (Brenda) Beidler of Maquoketa, Patsy Beidler of Maquoketa, 2 grandchildren; Kyler and Kaden, and a special daughter Aggie (Steve) Feuss of Oxford Junction.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward W. and sister Mae Heisermann.
