We want to send our sincerest sympathy and condolences to Shirley and Jim along with their entire Mayfield family! Uncle Bud has provided us all with many lasting memories which will never be forgotten. We thoroughly enjoyed his visits to Oregon as well as our many visits with him when we came back to Iowa. Certainly one of our highlighted memories was when Uncle Bud came to Oregon with two of his sisters (Dorothy and Peggy) to visit with my Mother and their sister (Lois), shortly before she passed. Watching these three siblings interact, sharing their many childhood memories with unending laughter and expressing the greatest love for each other, is something so overwhelming that it still brings tears to my eyes and is something which I can not find the right words to properly express. That same exact Love is being felt toward our Uncle Bud today!!!
However........I can not send this tribute for Uncle Bud without also sharing one very concerning personal concern.........now that Uncle Bud is setting up there with God, I am afraid that my St Louis Cardinals may never again win another baseball game over his Chicago Cubs!!!
May God Bless you Uncle Bud!!! You will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all of us!!!
