So very sorry to read of Shirley's passing...she was so dedicated to the Middle Times and so kind to everyone...I worked at Citizens State Bank and had the pleasure of meeting her there...sending my sympathy...

You have my deepest sympathy. Shirley was an amazing woman. She was always happy and positive, even when sick. I admire her strength and her love of community. No one truly realized how much her efforts with the Times meant to our community until it was gone. It was like a missing piece. Now Shirley herself will be a big missing piece, but I know that she affected us all in some way and we will forever take her with us too. Keep your memories close and listen to all of the wonderful stories that I am sure you will hear now.

Our sympathy to your families. We always enjoyed the Midland Times and really missed it when it was discontinued. Your Mom did a great job covering the area news.

Ben, Jennifer and Sarah,
Your mom was an amazing person. Always a smile on her face. Heaven received a very special angel. What do you suppose she'll write about in heaven? She will be forever covering Midland sports and the news. There are many patrons in heaven who will enjoy what she writes:) Our deepest sympathies go out to all of you and your families, she will be missed by MANY. She was a beacon in our community and we were truly blessed to have known her, and truly sad her face we will no longer see about. God Bless you all.
