Robinson was born on July 1, 1921 in Rockton, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Claudia (Smith) Edgar. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. His wife of 43 years, Lillian Mullen, and second wife of 7 years, Marilyn Sievert both predeceased him.
He was a marketing and sales executive for many years before starting his own Manufacturing Sales business, Rob Edgar Associates, over 20 years ago in Chicago, ill.

He is survived by his children, Carol (Alan) Bergquist of Sedona, AZ,
Robert (Dianne) Edgar, of Jamestown, RI,
Kathleen (Raymond) McKinstry of Grafton, MA,
Curtis (Laura) Edgar of Canton, CT, and
Elizabeth (Eric) Miller of Alpine, TX;
8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Robinson F. Edgar, 87, of Maquoketa, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009,
at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa.

The family had honored his wishes and his body has been cremated.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
