Alice M. Webb

Alice M. Webb, 95, of Olin passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa.  

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at Olin Cemetery.

Alice Mae was born on July 11, 1921 in Linn County Iowa to William and Mary (Stepank) Votroubek. In November of 1938 she was united in marriage to Milas Albert Webb. She worked as a bookkeeper, a housekeeper and she worked for Rockwell Collins for over 38 years. She was a member of The Olin American Legion Auxiliary. Alice enjoyed spending her time in her garden and flowerbeds. In her earlier years she used to sew and can and freeze her produce from her garden.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Phyllis Vernon of North Liberty, Nancy (James) Estes of Vinton, Lynda Baxter of California, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Phillip, a sister Wilma and a brother Walter.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be left in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association 317 7th Ave SE #402 Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401.
