Anna Marie Wagner

Anna Marie Wagner,88, of Maquoketa passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at West Wing Place in DeWitt, Iowa.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Lahey & Dawson Funeral Services in Maquoketa. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Lahey & Dawson Funeral Services. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Maquoketa.

Anna Marie Franzen was born on December 24, 1928 in Zwingle, Iowa to Mathias and Mary (Dwyer) Franzen. ON May 27, 1957 she was united in marriage to Norbert “Papa Smurf” Wagner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa. She enjoyed puzzle books, baking, watching western movies, playing cards and listening to Polka Music. Anna Marie had a passion for dancing with her husband and traveling on the weekends to enjoy the scenery. She collected Cardinals and windchimes.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Korene (Mike) Shady, Kenneth (LuAnn) Wagner both of Maquoketa, Karl (Carol) Wagner of Bellevue, 19 grandchildren    24 great-grandchildren, three sisters; Jo Ann (Tom) Reiter, Patsy (Orville) Wagner, Rita Hughes, seven brothers; Jim, Jerry (Lois), Leonard (Cheryl), Martin, Edward ”Butch” (Marie), Marvin (Barb), Wayne (Julia), a daughter-in-law Susan Wagner and her beloved dog Daisy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband a brother Vincent, two sisters; Marcelene Eganhouse, Margaret “Roselia” Franzen, a son Keith and a grandson Marshall.

Memorials may be directed to her family in her honor.
