Chuck,

After 5 years I was finally able to bring myself to visit your gravesite. I first met Chuck in 1999 as his roommate at UNI in the dorms as the two “Old” men. We were roommates again the following year and shared a lot of memories together. After UNI we didn’t see each other more than a couple of times however we would catch up over Thanksgiving break with a long phone conversation most years. Chuck was an unbelievable guy who I wish could have recognized that about himself. Every time I pass the Lost Nation sign on Hwy 30 I think of Chuck and the friendship we shared. I miss you brother!

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. It is not an easy thing for any of us to go through. This bible scripture at Revelation 21: 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Along with this website at http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/lv/r1/lp-e/0/22695 has comforted me and and many others. This web site answers a lot of life's biggest questions from the Bible including the loss of our loved one and will we see them again? I hope this brings your family some comfort as it has mine.

My sympathy to Chuck's family and friends. I taught Chuck his senior year in high school and enjoyed having him as a student. He was always friendly and very interested in social studies. I am sure he touched many lives as a teacher and coach.

Larry and Connie,
How sorry I was to see the loss of your son Chuck. He was way to young to leave us.
He lived a very good life, he educated himself, served his nation for 4 years and taught
young people the way to live a great life. I only remember him as a child. Our families have since lost track of each other, and I'm sorry for that also. When he left I'm sure he left with many good memories for his family.

I am so sorry to hear about Chuck! I worked with him at the old Wal Mart store in Maquoketa . We were both in the Electronics Dept. We had so much fun together....he was like a little brother to me (and at times like a son too!) . He was always polite, courteous, helpful, and we had a lot of laughs together. I remember his Grandma coming in and I enjoyed visiting with her. He had a good upbringing and was a fine young man anyone would be proud to have in their family. Prayers for all of his family and friends.
RIP Chuck......I know you will be missed terribly. I loved you little "brother"!
