Mary Diane Lynch

Mary Diane Lynch, 74, of Platteville, WI formerly of Otter Creek, IA passed away peacefully at Edenbrook Platteville on December 5, 2018 at 9:15 PM.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Otter Creek, IA with a visitation to begin at 9:00 AM prior to the service.

Mary Diane was born on July 17, 1944 in Dubuque, IA to Joseph and Marcella (Theisen) Lynch. Mary Diane attended Holy Rosary School in LaMotte, IA. On May 15, 1965, she married Loras (Pat) Lahey at St. Lawrence Church in Otter Creek. They had four children and later divorced. Mary Diane was an extremely loving and caring person. She was a kidney donor in 1979 to her brother Raymond. She was on dialysis for 4 1/2 years. She enjoyed playing cards (King’s Corner and No Peak) with her nieces and nephews, listening to Elvis and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children Joseph (Jodi) Lahey of Lamont, IA; Shelly (Butch) Waitman of Lamont, IA; Larry (Deb) Lahey of Mechanicsville, IL; Laura (Kevin) Myers of Enola, PA; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Robert (Charlene) Lynch of LaMotte, IA; Richard Lynch of Dubuque, IA; sisters, Arlene (Cletus) Engelken of Dyersville, IA; Barbara (Dwain) Kilburg of Bellevue, IA; Rosemary (Dale) Zeimet of Lakeview, AR; Janaan (Don) Junk of Bellevue, IA; Lois Lynch of Marion, IA and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents, Joe (1964) and Marcella Lynch (1999); brother, Raymond Lynch (1985) and ex-husband, Loras (Pat) Lahey (2016).
