Ernest "Ernie" D. Anderson

Ernie D. Anderson,75, of Clarence passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 14, 2022    surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Clarence United Methodist Church with his funeral service to follow. Burial will be at a later date at Clarence Cemetery. Dawson Funeral Services of Wyoming is assisting the family at this time.  

Ernest Daniel was born on September 5, 1946 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Edward and Audrey (Underwood) Anderson. On June 30, 1967 he was united in marriage to Wanda Collins at the United Church of Christ in Clarence. He worked as a millwright for Local 2158. He was a member of the Clarence United Methodist Church. Ernie loved to ride around town on his golf cart. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Family was important to Ernie, and he loved spending time and socializing with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Wanda, daughter Karla (Kevin) Tenley of Clarence, three grandchildren Alexandria (Kaleb) Frost, Taylor (James Krause)  Tenley and Delanie Tenley, a brother Charles (Rose) Anderson of Omaha, Arkansas and a sister-in-law Mar Anderson of Davenport.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Dawson Funeral Services Po Box 258 Wyoming, Iowa 52362 in his honor.
