Mona L. Heister, 65, of Sabula passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at MercyOne Hospital in Clinton.
A visitation will be Wednesday March 27, 2024 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Dawson Funeral Services in Wyoming. Her funeral service will begin following the visitation at 12:30 P.M. at Dawson Funeral Services in Wyoming. Burial will be at the Wyoming Cemetery.
Mona Lynn was born on November 10, 1958 in Monticello, Iowa to Alvin “Dudley” and Donna (Bonney) Tredway. She was united in marriage to Rodney Heister on December 31, 1977 at the church in Center Junction, Iowa. She earned her degree from Hamilton Tech College. Mona worked at the Nuclear Power Plant as an IM Technician where she went onto retire from in 2006. Her and Rodney owned and operated Riverbottom in Bellevue for over 15 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton. Mona enjoyed camping, fishing and cross stitching. She was an avid collector of Breyer Horses and loved horseback riding in her earlier years. She loved Jesus and always cherished spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Rodney, three children; Curby (Kim) Heister of Gays Mills, Wisconsin, Deke (Heather) Heister of Onslow, Will (Whitney) Heister of Sabula, twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a brother Alvin (Patty) Tredway of Onslow.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Oneita, a brother Wylie Tredway, a nephew Kyle and two nieces Christy and Amanda.
