I am so sorry to hear of this loss. I met Gary in the early 80's through Overland Express Trucking. I called on Gary through the years in transportation. But more importantly was our many Canadian fishing trips together!! Gary was always a joy to be with. God bless the family, you had a wonderful man for many years. EVERYONE liked Gary.

As you know, Gary was the brother I never had. He will be missed, but his memory will always be strong. In the 40 plus years I was privileged to know Gary, he always had a smile, a gracious welcome and a "good for you" in his conversation. I am so happy we were able to work for him, with him and his family for all these years. We cannot remember when he ever got angered, the most even tempered man we have ever known. Our prayers are with the Petersen family.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to Gary's family. There's such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. I'd like to share some scriptural thoughts that really helps me. Prayer is so valuable at this time but it's not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection, this is our amazing hope! 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort (Ps.83:18) be your comfort now during this time of sorrow.

Chris and entire Petersen family
I worked for Pillsbury in Minneapolis with Gary for many years. I just learned of Gary's passing from Tom Jones. I would like to express my heart felt condolences.
Gary was a wonderful human being and a joy to be around at all times. He always had an incredible sense of humor. Gary was a mentor to me as I learned supply chain and logistics from him during our years together.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Chris, Keith, Scott and Danny,
I like so many others are very lucky to have had the opportunity and privilege to have Gary as a co-worker, mentor, carpooler and most importantly a friend. He achieved in life what others can only dream of; he was respected, compassionate, a visionary, an industry leader, mentor, carpooler and a great human being. Heβll be missed, never forgotten and we owe him a debt of gratitude for his friendship, guidance and how to be a good person. We learned from the qualities and attributes he had and am proud to call him a friend. His memories are nothing but good and will be forever cherished. Tom & Julie Jones
