Maurna L. McAndrew

Maurna McAndrew, 60, of DeWitt passed away on February 27, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in DeWitt.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 3 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa on Thurday, March 2 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00.  Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Maquoketa following the service.

Maurna was born on April 10, 1956 to William and Joyce (Budde) McAndrew.  She graduated from Andrew High School in 1974 and attended Mt. St. Claire College in Clinton. She worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 32 years. She spent the last five and a half years living at West Wing Place in DeWitt.

Maurna enjoyed computers, board games, Bingo, and any games of chance. She really enjoyed her nieces and nephews, and loved to visit with babies.

Those left to cherish her memories are her Mother, Joyce McAndrew, sisters; Linda (Jack) Johnson of Solon, Patty (Duane) Hogans of DesMoines, Julie (Michael) Delaney of LaMotte, Anne Albrecht (Rich Temple) of Parker, Colorado, Kerry (Ryan) Hentges of Lakeville, MN, brothers; Dennis (Angie) McAndrew of Maquoketa, John McAndrew (Leslie Schmelzer) of Delmar, William (Ann) McAndrew of Wildwood MO, and Thomas McAndrew of Denver, CO.

She is preceded in death by her father William McAndrew, grandparents; Alfred and Lucille Budde of Maquoketa and, Francis and Mary McAndrew of Wyoming.
